ESSCO is looking for Installation & Repair AC Technician Job Description Electric Sales & Service Ltd. the leading air-conditioning, elevator, appliance & tools company in Barbados, is seeking suitable applicants for the position of Installation & Repair AC Technician. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to work on commercial AC contracts or in a project environment diagnosing, repairing and installing most types of air conditioning systems. They will be expected to be familiar with all safety, maintenance, operational and installation procedures regarding air conditioning systems. Position Requirements • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to work with minimum supervision, meet deadlines, work reasonable overtime as required by job or project situation. • Ability to Repair & Install mini split, commercial split, package units, VRF systems, Chillers. (All types of air conditioning/refrigeration equipment) • Advanced knowledge/experience with commercial/chilled water & VRF systems would be an asset. • Experience with BMS would be an asset. • Prepare detailed reports of work completed and diagnosis of units. • Commissioning of Air Conditioning system for handover. • Prepare time sheets, job reports, parts requisition and returns as required. • Expected to own/acquire personal set of basic tools. (List to be provided) • Maintain high quality customer service and care. • Possess a valid traveler’s passport & light goods vehicle license. • Ability to work in a project environment. • Ability to occasionally lift up to 100 lbs. • Recognized manufacture training would be an asset. • Willing to relocate or work in other Caribbean islands. Qualifications & Experience • Caribbean Vocational Qualification (CVQ) or National Vocational Qualification (NVQ)in areas for which regional standards have been approved. • Field experience with mini split, commercial split, package units, all types of air conditioning of minimum (5) years. • An understanding of safety regulations in an equipment repair environment. • Computer literate, send emails, operation of laptop or tablet.
