KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The Accountant will be responsible for: Managing and maintaining the company’s accounting records and general ledger. Preparing and reviewing financial transactions and accounting entries. Calculating and preparing statutory payments and returns, including applicable payroll- related deductions. Preparing VAT calculations and returns and ensuring timely submission/payment. Performing bank reconciliations and investigating discrepancies. Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, as required. Preparing periodic financial reports and supporting management with relevant financial information. Preparing schedules, supporting documents, reconciliations, and other information required for the company’s external audit. Maintaining organized and accurate accounting records and supporting documentation. Monitoring financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company procedures. Assisting with budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and other financial reporting requirements. Liaising with external auditors, financial institutions, statutory agencies, and other relevant parties when required. Performing other core accounting and finance-related duties necessary for the effective management of the company’s accounts. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Applicants should possess: At least ACCA Level 2 or equivalent A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar role. Sound knowledge of VAT, statutory deductions, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting. Experience preparing accounting records and supporting documentation for external audits. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Good organizational and time-management skills. The ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling financial and company information. The ability to work independently and meet reporting and statutory deadlines. Work Arrangement: In-person Working Days: Monday to Friday Working Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
