Our client is looking for Commercial Credit Underwriter EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration Minimum 5 years of experience in business/commercial lending. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for underwriting commercial type loans and preparing presentations Utilize provided software/excel to score credit applications as well as create customer profile and security analysis Compile all Compliance documents Perform annual reviews Provide support for business developers on new customers Undertake the analysis, evaluation, and underwriting of proposed credit facilities for customers and prospects Attend meetings with customers Assess credit opportunities; identifies key risks, and structures alternatives working in a team environment Responsible for preparing in-depth credit packages Responsible for conducting research on borrowers and industries Take ownership of the credit process, making decisions in the best interest of the customer and organization \Provide support to account officers if needed Responsible for measuring covenants put in place within loan agreements, with a clear understanding of the effect and purpose of those loan covenants, and communicates the compliance of the borrowers to the Manager Credit and Assistant Manager Credit as needed Complete annual reviews, modifications, extensions, renewals, and new loan requests for customers with minimal required changes from the credit approvers Analyze more complex credits with assistance from Manager Credit Apply experience with comparable credits to recommend appropriate covenants, terms, and conditions, and structure for a credit request Identify policy exceptions within a credit request
